Expressive Art Therapy is the practice of integrating multiple art forms in order to foster human growth, development and healing.
It combines talk therapy, creativity and the arts to help clients access emotions that may be difficult to express externally.
It is an organic process in which the client decides if they would like to explore an art form. We help engage the imagination and use a multi dimensional approach, so that the client and therapist may move freely between drawing/painting, clay, movement, music, drama, play and writing.
This helps clients explore their feelings, process life experiences and develop coping stategies through creativity.
This work can enhance the quality of life for those with various challenges. Physical, cognitive & emotional.
